2018 SWANA International Safety Awards

 2018 Safety Awards Submissions Open

SWANA is excited to announce that submissions are now being accepted for our Annual Safety Awards. These awards inspire a greater commitment to worker safety and health throughout the solid waste industry by recognizing safety leaders in our communities.

SWANA's Safety Awards program includes two categories in all seven Technical Divisions:

The SWANA Safety Awards program seeks the Best Safety Innovation and Biggest Safety Improvement in each of SWANA’s Technical Divisions, as well as one overall winner.

Winners will be announced on June 4, 2017 and the awards presentation will take place at WASTECON® 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee.

For more information on the judging criteria and eligibility, click here.

The submission deadline is April 1, 2018 — submit yours today!

SWANA's new Safety Awards program is part of the association's renewed emphasis on sharing examples of programs for worker safety and health that can be emulated by others. Will YOUR organization's safety program be one of the first to be honored?

The new Safety Awards program includes two categories: Best Safety Innovation and Biggest Safety Improvement. These awards recognize organizations that are demonstrating a commitment to safety through thoughtful and original safety initiatives.

Members of SWANA’s Technical Divisions’ Safety and Award Committees will serve as judges. SWANA intends to present trophies to a winner and runner up in both categories at its annual WASTECON® conference, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
